There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” - Anais Nin

CutMaster C's Insight on Jaszi

"For those who know my history, knows that I have worked with many mainstream artists and watched them grow from square one. I've known Jaszi now for almost a year. I was introduced to her by a mutual friend. From the first song that was sent to me (which was a cappella), I knew she was special. I was excited and eager to hear more from her. I was soon to hear that Jaszi's played multiple instruments, and wrote her own music. I was interested and wanted to begin working with her right away.

We began conversing everyday as I wanted to get to know the person, as well as the artist to establish a connection and begin getting in the studio to make magic. For the most part Jaszi is humble, she's very talented, and she takes her music extremely serious. We have worked on some music the first year, as I will continue to help and work with her. She definitely has a lot in store so please stay in tune! I am honored to be working with Jas."

BIOGRAPHY

Jasmine JLT Holland  known professionally as Jaszi, is an American singer-songwriter. Jaszi, who was born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY realized that music has been her healing place since the age of 3. She is best known for her single Turn it Down, which was released and charted on Apple Music Global Top 200 for New Releases: R&B in 2020.

Her parents (Felicia Parmer, Leeverne Holland) had set up a music room in their home, where she grew to understand how music worked by observing the instruments. She began using her voice along with each melody. During her high school years she partook in a theatre program. Loving the passion that being on stage gave her, she decided to attend Niagara University with theatre as her major. Jaszi has had many inspirations within her growth as a musician. From Brandy, Monica, TLC, Tamar Braxton, and Whitney Houston, to the new school R&B roster consisting of Jhene Aiko, SZA, H.E.R., Queen Naija, and Summer Walker.

Music Career

Jaszi was a member of the music group M.T.M (More Than Music), which consisted of four MCs and two singer (including herself). They're mainly known for their popular collaborative album Secret Invitation in 2010. Shortly after giving birth to her second child in 2015, the group slowly but surely separated.

Jaszi pursued corporate life working as a Human Resources Administrator with a marketing company until 2020, after the pandemic. She was introduced to New York's elite mixtape DJ Cutmaster C regarding her music, and was then reignited with passion for music. Jaszi returned to the music scene with her first solo debut single Turn it Down. She has also released singles such as Serve, Swerve (2021) and Help Me (2022).  Jaszi was also nominated for 716 Music Award's  Best Female Artist of the Year (2023).

As of today, Jaszi is touring and completing her album Journey. She has recently released a new single titled Stutter (2023). Jaszi has realized that music was where she needed to be. Going through changes, healing and evolving, was what she was destined to sing about.
